Never use China-based cloud storage services

I'm just venting about the "Chinese Cloud storage scandal". If you've never heard of it, there's a bunch of cloud storage providers like Baidu Network Disk, Weiyun, and 115 that offer 2 TB for the price of $3-4 USD or even 8 TB for 30 USD for a 5 year contract. I'm not even joking, I've never seen prices that low. You can even get 600 GB for free by creating an active account.

Well, it's been recently confirmed that all of the files you upload to these services are actually being sent to the Chinese government where they are being analyzed by various AI services. Whether they use this information to steal IP or not, this is absolute fucking bullshit.

If you use these type of services, please stop. Don't use any cloud storage that you cannot trust. It's not worth the risk of your private personal information being shared with the government. Not even counting the fact that these storage providers are not good for the environment as they are just cash-grabbing on gullible customers. US and EU based cloud providers are basically forced to follow regulations like GDPR to ensure that your data is safe. Chinese cloud providers do not have to follow these regulations. They use your data to enrich their government.
