Dreams are very similar to being awake and people need to stop calling them "not real"

Here is my point in a few sentences. I am my true self in my dreams, the same as I am in real life. When I am dreaming I am not pretending to be a character in a fantasy world, I am me. I am still following the same rules and morals that I have in real life. When I dream I am in a world that is totally different from the real world, but my interactions in my dream world and my real world are totally similar. I interact with dream people the same way I interact with real people. I would say my dreaming world is similar to my real world in 70% of the ways and different in 30% of the ways. I want to point out that many people's fantasy dream worlds are very different from their real lives. For example, people with depression or anxiety might have a world similar to the world they want to be in or live in. Before I found out I was bipolar I think my dreams were more like a ideal fantasy world for me, but now that I know I'm bipolar, many of my dreams are about my true self and the world I currently live in.

Why do people say dreams are not real? They are real to me and are a real interaction with the world and with myself. I have learned a lot about myself just from my dreams, and I feel my dreams are important for me to know how I interact with the world. If my dreams aren't "real" then how can I know how I will really act in similar real world situations?

I don't know how the brain works or if dream worlds are physical or not, but for the sake of my own life I am just going to have to pretend that dream worlds are real, because they feel similar enough to my own life for me to use them as a means of knowing how I interact with the world, and they are valuable to me in that sense.
