If the US government shuts down over abortion, block all the streets in DC and other major cities

We can’t back down. We need to bring the country to a standstill. This is about bodily autonomy. This is about women’s and people with uteruses' right to choose. This is about the right to contraception. This is about freedom of religion. This is about freedom FROM religion. Although this sub is pro-choice, reasonable people can have differing opinions. But the Republicans aren’t being reasonable. They want to force women to give birth against their will. They want to force women to give birth to rapist’s babies. They want to force dead women’s corpses to give birth to full term live babies. If a 12 year old girl has a miscarriage, she should be investigated. If a woman has a miscarriage, she should be investigated. Pregnant women running away from states with abortion bans are felons. Women who travel to pro-choice states to have an abortion are felons. Women who self abort are felons. Women who ask for help aborting are asking non-medically trained people to commit third degree felonies. Women who get abortions are felons. Doctors who help them are felons. Nurses who help them are felons. Midwives who help them are felons. Abortion pills should be illegal. Emergency contraception pills should be illegal. IUDs should be outlawed. Birth control pills should be outlawed. Plan B should be outlawed. Any one caught with the morning after pill or a Planned Parenthood pill or UTI antibiotics that can be used as a DIY abortion should be investigated for abortion, a felony. Bodily autonomy is a RIGHT. A human right. The RIGHT to choose whether to be sterilized or not is a RIGHT. We need to stand up. We need to fight. We need to protest. We need to get in the streets. We can’t let them bully us. We can’t let the bully pulpit win. God is dead. Christians are a minority in the US. They don’t have a right to force us into a Christian theocracy. This isn’t about baby killing. This is about CONTROL. CONTROLLING WOMEN. CONTROLLING PEOPLE WITH UTERUSES. CONTROLLING WOMEN OF CHILDBEARING AGE. CONTROLLING TEENAGERS. CONTROLLING LITTLE GIRLS. Stop letting them control us. Stop letting them win. They’re bullies. They’re tyrants. They’re theocrats. This is America. We aren’t the Christian Kingdom of Jesus. We are the United States of America. The USA doesn’t have a national religion. In fact, we aren’t allowed to have a national religion. We need to take to the streets. We need to force the government to listen to our demands. Women and people with uteruses should have the RIGHT to choose whether they have an abortion or not. Women and people with uteruses should have the RIGHT to choose whether they want to be sterilized or not. Women and people with uteruses should have the RIGHT to access any kind and any brand of birth control they want. If they want a condom, hand it to them. If they want the pill, hand them a prescription. IUDs, Nuvarings, Nexplanons, Plan B, should be fully accessible without restrictions. No one should get in the way of our access to birth control. No one should get in the way of our access to abortion. No one should get in the way of our access to Plan B. Humans have the RIGHT to access abortion. Abortion is healthcare. Sterilization is healthcare. Birth control is healthcare. Just as you can’t stop someone from getting a heart transplant, you can’t stop someone from getting an abortion. Just as you can’t stop someone from getting a kidney transplant, we can’t stop someone from getting an abortion. Abortion is not sin. Abortions are not murder. Abortions are not homicide. Abortions are not killing babies. Abortions are HEALTHCARE. Abortions are a RIGHT. Abortions are a CHOICE. And no stupid ass old man in DC gets to tell us that we can’t have it. No one has a right to tell us what to do with our own bodies. No one has a right to investigate us. No one has a right to arrest us. No one has a right to lock us up. No one has a right to tell us what healthcare we can’t have access to. No one has a right to tell us what we can and can’t do with our own bodies. No one has a right to violate us. No one has a right to sexually assault us. No one has a right to rape us. No one has a right to get us pregnant against our will. This is about consent. This isn’t about “consent is a social construct. Sometimes we don’t say yes, but we mean it in our hearts.” This isn’t about Marital Rape Exemption Laws. This isn’t about husbands having a right to their wife’s pussy. This is about whether we consent to being sterilized. This is whether we consent to having sex. This is whether we consent to having children. We don’t want forced sex. We don’t want forced childbirth. We don’t want forced sterilization. We want freedom. We want choices. We want bodily autonomy. We aren’t incubators. We aren’t baby making machines. We aren’t uteruses with legs. We aren’t reproductive vessels. We aren’t baby factories. We aren’t a handmaid’s tale. This is America. This is the United States of America. And we have the RIGHT to bodily autonomy. God doesn’t give us rights. OUR CONSTITUTION gives us rights. And if they take away our rights, we should block every street in every city. We need to block every street in every city. We need to bring this country to a standstill. We need to show them that they can’t bully us. We need to show them we won’t be silenced. We need to show them we won’t back down. How DARE they. How DARE they take away our rights. How DARE they investigate dead women’s corpses to make sure they weren’t aborted. How DARE they force 12 year old girls to give birth. How DARE they tell us we have to give up our right to bodily autonomy for them to save $1.5B in spending. How DARE they. They’re tyrants. They’re terrorists. They’re theocrats. And we can’t let them win. We can’t let them bully us. We can’t let them win. They need to lose. They need to be brought down. This is America. This is the United States of America. We can’t be a Christian theocracy. Bodily autonomy is a right. Right now, the government is discussing a bill to cut $1.5B in funding to keep the government running. This $1.5B funds Planned Parenthood and other clinics that offer abortions. Republicans are refusing to let the U.S. government shut down because they want to stop Planned Parenthood from getting any more money. The government needs the money to run their everyday functions. But Republicans are refusing to let the government run unless Planned Parenthood gives up their money. Democrats are refusing to take the money away from Planned Parenthood. There’s a stalemate. What will happen next? Will the government shut down? Will the government run out of money? Will they find a compromise? Will Planned Parenthood run out of money? What’s happening in DC? What will they decide?
