An old man who probably saved me from a kidnapping and most likely death

N.B. I am 14 and from the UK<br><br>One Friday (a week ago) I was walking home from school. I take a small alleyway (its not like a lane you would see in a horror movie, just a path which connects the main road to my street) I was listening to music and just mindlessly walking home. I didn’t look back but I could hear the rustling in the bushes behind me, it was about 3:30 so it was very quiet and I could hear the rustling. I walked faster but I remember thinking there was no point as they’d be able to catch up easily if they wanted to and I knew a man/woman could easily overpower me. I wanted to run but my brain told me not to and I just kept walking at the slightly faster pace. As I got to the end of the alleyway, I saw a little old man standing there who took off his headphones and asked me if I was okay, I said I was fine and walked away. He shouted behind me ‘Don’t look back. Just keep on walking.’ I didn’t look back, I just walked away. I was a bit scared at first but the old man didn’t seem to be acting strange so I just walked home. <br><br>I told my mum and dad about it and they were a bit skeptical if it even happened but I think it did. The old man probably saved my life. <br><br>The old man who might have saved me from a possible kidnapping and death, let’s not meet again because next time I might not be so lucky.
