I know a lot of us are feeling hopeless, as we are constantly being attacked, discriminated against, and mistreated for being women. It can feel as though we are never going to get where we want to be. However, if you are interested in feminism, I recommend reading the material. It can be extremely hopeful and help you find ways to be part of the feminist movement.

The feminist movement gave us the right to vote, the right to work, the right to divorce, the right to have custody of our children, the right to have an abortion, the right to equal pay, and a myriad of other rights we now enjoy. It is the only way we will ever get to true equality with men. It is the only way we will ever be free of the patriarchy. Feminism is the key to women's rights.

Here's a list of books you can start with if you're interested.

*The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir
The Female Eunuch by Germaine Greer
Backlash: The Undeclared War Against American Woment by Susan Faludi.
The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood.
Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay.
The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf.
Feminism for the 99% by Cinzia Arruzza.
Whether From Reason or Instinct by Caroline Norton.
How to Be a Woman by Caitlin Moran.
The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan.
The Woman's Hour by Elaine F.
