To see the scam you gotta understand what **Leftism** is. A Leftist is a socialist who promotes working-class power independent of the so-called “progressive” bourgeoisie. That means the working-class represents its own interests and determines the course of society independently of the capitalist class.

Major examples of leftists include Karl Marx, Rosa Luxemburg, Salvador Allende, and Che Guevara.

Contrary to what conservatives like to claim, none of the major parties in the United States, Canada, Australia, UK, or Western Europe are socialist or even have workers' power at their core. If you’re “Leftist” and believe that the Democratic Party, Liberal Party, or Labour Party are Leftist, you’re not Leftist. You’re Rightist. The Democrats, Liberals, and Labour are majorly corporate parties. **If you support them in opposition to the Republicans, Conservatives, or Tories, then you’re a supporter of right-wing politics.**

It’s the same in Australia. The Labour Party represents the Australian bourgeoisie, and voters who support them against the Liberals are Right-wing.

Which brings me to the attacks on the “Left” from rightists.

Rightists attack even the idea of socialism.

When they attack the “Left” for being weak on crime, they mean that socialists who support workers’ power will simply expand social welfare to address the root economic and educational causes of crime. In other words, **socialists** are going to expand social welfare and support for the working class. Rightists oppose that, and claim it would cause people to rely on the government and make them lazy. They oppose welfare because it gives the working class a better bargaining position and helps the working class hold up against capitalist abuse.

When they attack the “Left” for being weak on immigration, they mean that socialists who support workers’ power will simply advocate for common working-class interests across borders. In other words, **socialists** are going to support international solidarity between workers. Rightists oppose that, and claim that socialists are just weak on border security.

When they attack the “Left” for being weak on national defence, they mean that socialists who support workers’ power will simply advocate for common working-class interests across nations during wartime. In other words, **socialists** are going to defy national antagonisms between workers. Rightists oppose that, and claim that socialists are just weak on national defence.

When they attack the “Left” for wanting to raise taxes, they mean that socialists who support workers’ power will simply expand social welfare to address the root economic and educational causes of social issues. In other words, **socialists** are going to expand social welfare and support for the working class.

When they attack the “Left” for hating corporations, they mean that socialists who support workers’ power will simply challenge corporate power. In other words, **socialists** are going to challenge capitalist exploitation and call it out for what it is.

The major parties these Rightists are attacking are not Leftist. The Democrats, Liberals, and Labour Party are majorly capitalist parties. They are not socialist and do not represent workers' power. They are Right-wing in the end.

Rather than the Rightists’ attacks on the “Left,” workers in general would benefit from Leftist attacks on the Right. That’s attacks on Rightists and capitalists who exploit the working-class and appropriate society's wealth to exploit the working-class.

Workers, including small business owners and small farmers, are exploited due to the capitalist system and would benefit from recognising that common truth. So don’t let the Rightists confuse you.

Marx, K., & Engels, F.
