Threw on the news and saw a death toll of 15k. I got here and a coworker I'm close with told me she tested positive for COVID. Normally I dont like when coworkers bring their kids here. But she had to bring her 3 year old here on Monday. She was sick and the father is unemployed and has 2 other kids to watch. Now I know she was the in the same door as me and in some of the same areas. She works in a different department and everything.

So I sent a text to my boss and asked him if it mattered if I took the rest of the day off. He said it was fine. I am staying home and getting tested. I am 40 with a family of 5. I already live pay to pay. Occasional missed pay isn't the end of the world. It is just a shit day. Glad I am showing no symptoms, but I am anxious as fuck because I have to find a way to get tested before 5.

If anyone has been tested, what was the process like?
