The hate for teachers from the public is heartbreaking. Anyone else feeling this?

I just got back from grabbing lunch (with my mask on) and the guy behind me saw me Walk by a high school and said “oh nice! I hope you enjoy your 3 month vacation you lazy b**** because you don’t do anything”. I just moved to this state and have never felt so hated and unappreciated. This may sound dramatic but I’ve never been treated this way before and I really hope it’s not the norm everywhere.
