The name of this sub has me confused, I'm a woman asking a question...

Hi, I am a 22 year old college student currently in a relationship with a 26 year old man. We've been together for 10 months now. We met at my university gym, and we've been going out ever since. The issue is that I am intending to go to medical school next fall, and he is talking about starting his own business, which is writing. He gets freelance jobs here and there, writing articles and editing stuff, but most of the time he's working on his own stuff. He calls himself a "writer" but it seems more like a hobby to me. <br><br>He's told me that he's not sure how moving would work if I do end up going to medical school. He's got his life set up here, and he seems to prefer staying in one spot over being mobile. <br><br>I told him I get that, but I cannot choose a location of medical school based on a relationship that's only 10 months old. I am expecting to go to medical school for 8 years. I am not sure what to do, but I think about breaking up with him, because I need to focus on myself and I can't be tied down. I am getting tired of him complaining about the "worst case scenario" where I have to move for med school, and he has to choose between uprooting his life or ending the relationship. <br><br>Thoughts?
