Let's pretend that the ancient Greeks discovered America instead of the Europeans. How would it change the political and cultural landscape of the Americas?

Would they integrate the Native Americans the way they did the Persians in modern-day Turkey, or would they kill them off the way the Europeans did?

Would they spread the Greek language or would they integrate the local language and dialects?

Would they create a massive empire across North and South America, or would it break up into several smaller city-states and kingdoms?

What would they name this new landmass? Nova Hellas?

How would this change the course of European and Asian history? For one, the Phoenicians and Carthaginians would have direct access to the Atlantic, the Vikings would have Greeks to raid from the west instead of the east, and the Aztecs and Mayans would have Greek gods and goddesses to worship.

Tagging u/Professional_Shit because idk.
