Lighting up my living room with LED strips and I had an idea.

I just bought some smart LED strip lights and I want to use them to light up my living room. The living room is where I watch movies, TV shows, play games, eat, do homework, work, I guess you can say it's a big room where I do everything. <br><br>So the idea I came up with was to have a free app that people can use to set the mood of their living room. If someone is playing a game, the app will know what game they are playing and set the lighting to match the game's colors and mood. For example, if you are playing Fortnite, the app will change the lighting to be very bright and colorful. If someone is watching a movie, the app will change the lighting according to the genre of the movie. If someone is working or doing homework, the app will change the lighting to be dim and relaxing. <br><br>I was wondering if I could make this happen, I'm a software engineer so I think I would be able to build the app itself, but I'm not sure how to read what game or movie someone is playing. I'm also not sure what API I need to use to match the lighting to the genre of the movie.
