3 hours from NYC, nice nature, camping, scenic drives, hiking, lakes, no people

Planning a week long camping trip from NYC and looking to find a place with the following.: <br><br>1. 3 hour drive from NYC. <br>2. Surrounding by nature, no cities or towns. <br>3. Lots of lakes. <br>4. Lots of hiking trails (some easier, some harder) <br>5. Scenic drives, easy access to road trip for longer scenic drives.<br>6. No crowds. <br>7. Nice scenery. <br><br>I've been to the upper Hudson and it was great. <br><br>What other places would you suggest?
