Do you think humans will set up a permanent settlement on Mars?

Again, inspired by a very interesting discussion on a similar thread by u/ashew1674, I am asking you: Do you think humans will set up a permanent settlement on Mars?<br><br>Or, more simply: Do you think Mars will be settled?<br><br>I don't know if we have the technological capability to set up a self-sustaining settlement on another planet. We don't even have self-sustaining settlements on Earth.
