I (f38) have 2 daughters, E (f16) and A (f4).

My husband (m41) and I are going on a brief trip for a few days for work and we are leaving the girls with his mother.

My husband packed the girls' bags and gave them strict instructions that they are not to open the bags and touch anything until they are with their grandmother.

I looked through the bags and found new pairs of underwear and bras for both girls. The bras were from Victoria's Secret and they were all lacy. E's bras were a little revealing. He also packed them each a pair of razor and shaving creams. There was also a pack of tampons for E.

A does not need any of these and E only uses tampons when she is at school because she can't go to the bathroom as much as she needs to when she has her period. She definitely does not need a whole pack for just 3 days.

Also, E has been shaving for a little over a year now with a razor I got her and she is only allowed to shave her legs. My husband asked her multiple times to let him teach her how to shave but I said no. E hates shaving because it makes her feel self-conscious about her body so she only does it sometimes when she is going out with friends or to an event. She definitely does not want her father's help. My husband helped me with A a few months ago but I noticed that he took a long time and A was fidgeting because she was uncomfortable.

I emptied both bags and got my daughters to help me pack them. When my husband came home, I asked him what the hell he was thinking. He nonchantantly said that he was just trying to help and make sure the girls had everything they needed and wanted to make sure that they are comfortable and clean. I told him that the only thing he is allowed to pack for them is their clothes and their tablets and phones. He said that sometimes as a father, you have to do things you don't want to do. I corrected him and said that sometimes as a parent, you have to do things you don't want to do but this isn't one of them. I told him to stop acting like a creepy father and that he is overstepping his boundaries again. He looked at me and said that I made it seem like he put something creepy in the girls' bags. I told him that no, I just said he's acting like a creepy father.

He got angry and said that I made him sound like a sicko and that AITAH here.

Edit:

1. My husband did not say anything to me about packing these items.

2. My daughter has been shaving without his help for over a year.

3. Yes, I have considered professional help for my daughter.

4. No, my husband did not buy these items. We have had them lying around for a while now.
