CMV: The lack of proper exit polls is high treason during presidential elections

Let me go on a slight tangent here to explain what happened in my country. This fall, a presidential election was held in Bulgaria. The president is supposed to be a ceremonial figure, but he does have some powers of his own. The 2 candidates that went to the runoff were incumbent president president Radev and prof. Anastas Gerdjikov. On the 21st of November an exit poll was released by a company called Alpha Research. According to this exit poll, president Radev was leading with a massive 7% advantage in the polls. He won the election with about 3% lead. <br><br>This is what I think is high treason: Throughout the day of election, the government were asking people to go vote for president Radev, as this exit poll already gave him an enormous advantage. I believe that the exit poll was posted fraudulently in order to suppress votes for the other candidate. Why exactly is this treason? I can't know for certain, but the president's office has significant power over the companies that are allowed to do exit polls. They are also in a difficult position of having no idea whether they are to be re-elected or not. I believe that the president used those powers to manipulate the outcome of the election. <br><br>So, change my view if you can.
