Was anyone else part of 1000 life hacks?

I hope it's a little bit safe to post this but I recently remembered 1000 life hacks.

You may know them through YouTube shorts or you may have seen them on Facebook or Instagram. These were short, 15s videos that show instant solutions to everyday problems.

I was following them on Facebook too; I remember how excited I was when they reached 100m followers.

Their content was funny, entertaining and insulting to smart people (it was a bit too dumb for anyone with a good life experience).

They always ended with a hashtag and that "Please do it responsibly" disclaimer. Sometimes the hashtags didn't even make sense.

You may know the guy who runs the Instagram page @dezran. He exposed 1000 life hacks and how they stole content from other pages and people. He even proved that some of their videos are completely fake with a little bit green screen editing. Sometimes they change the color of an object in the video to make it look like a hack.

It didn't take long for their following count to drop from 100m to 20m with a little bit effort from the boy. Sometimes I wonder if those people who watched 1000 life hacks on YouTube were even real people or just bots.

So, here are some of the 1000 life hacks triggers:

1. F**king bean bags are the worst invention on Earth. They only talk about bean bags and how you can use them in different ways to fix problems you don't even have. Every time I see a bean bag, I throw up in my mouth a little bit.

2. They talk a lot about the joys of parenthood and how happy it is to be a father. (In reality, the people running the page don't have any kids.)

3. They have only 2 or 3 actors; a young girl, an old mom and a middle aged dad. They change their clothes, edit their hair to make them look like completely different people.

4. 1000 life hacks was a page run by a couple of people who are still in high school. They didn't have any experience or knowledge about life. They were young and ignorant.

5. Do you remember that part where they said, "It may look weird, but please do it responsibly." Every. Single. Time.

6. Most of their content was either fake or completely useless. I still don't get how they got that many followers. Do you think most of their followers were AI or completely stupid people?

7. They used to post 10-15s videos that were completely useless. Why would you need a life hack for something you will only do once in a lifetime? Why would you buy a straw to clean under the couch? Why would you buy a huge bean bag to put your dirty shoes in?

8. The girl in the video always looked like she was 16. Can you imagine the kind of questions they must have gotten about her age? Why would you use a clearly underage girl for anything? It's just weird.

9. The girl was always the one in the video and it always looked like the page was run by a pedophile. We were all wondering about her age because it was just weird to see a young girl doing random stuff all the time.

10. The old lady in the video was always the mom. It was always mom and daughter, mom and daughter. That 16 year old girl was always with her mom. I wonder if they knew that this was a little bit weird.

11. Every hack was purposely made to look as dumb as possible. They would make a 5 minute video with 0.5s of useful hack and 4.5 minutes of unnecessary stuff just to make the girl look cute while doing weird stuff.

12. Why bean bags? Can you imagine being dumb enough to buy a bean bag to put your shoes in or to stop your dog from getting too cold? They were even stupid enough to show a dog with a bean bag in his dog house. Why the f**k would you do that?

13. Most of their followers were from 3rd world countries. I once lived in a 3rd world country and I know how little knowledge they have about anything. My guess is that more than half of their following count was either fake or from people who don't know any better.

14. What was their obsession with cleaning? Every video was about cleaning. Why the f**k are you buying a 5 dollar straw to clean under the couch? Why don't you just buy a vacuum cleaner? Why bean bags? You put your dirty shoes in a bean bag and put the bean bag under the couch to keep it warm.

15. Most of the things they talk about you will never do in your life. They once posted a video where the girl had a long dress with no back (exposing her entire back) and she was talking about how to get out of a dress when your zipper is broken. Who does that? Who breaks their zipper? Why would you put a broken zipper on a dress and deliberately make yourself look completely helpless? Why would you want to expose your back on Facebook?

Long story short, I'm very happy that 1000 life hacks is gone.
