The days where the only women who were openly angry were radical feminists and hippie lesbians are over

Women all over are seized with anger. Women who never previously identified as feminist. Women who previously said “I’m not a feminist, but…” Women who previously didn’t give a shit one way or the other. Women who were actively against feminism. Women who voted for trump, for Orban, for Bin Salman, for Modi. Every damn woman from every damn walk of life. We are all angry.<br><br>There’s no going back when a line’s been crossed. We can’t go back to pretending like we did when we were kids and believed we lived in an equal society when we really didn’t. We can’t pretend to be oblivious like we were back in 2015 when we naively believed that feminism was “over” because the middle class could go to school and work. We can’t pretend like we’re dumb and we don’t know when we see sexism or feel it. We can’t pretend to be happy. We can’t just smile and move on and pretend it didn’t happen when we see or hear something sexist. <br><br>Our anger has reached critical mass. The societal pressure cooker has exploded. <br><br>Millions of women from all walks of life are openly raging. Angry women used to be radical feminists and now they’re your average housewives, they’re the “I’m not a feminist, but…” people, they’re your friends, they’re the girl next door, they’re your wife and your mother and your sister and your grandmother. <br><br>We’re not going to shut up. We’re not going to calm down. The “crazy woman” trope is over. Women are openly seething and outraged and we don’t care if it makes you uncomfortable. We don’t care if you think we’re unreasonable or “emotional” or irrational. Nothing is ever reasonable to men, anyway.<br><br>We can’t be shamed and we can’t be gaslighted into being happy. We’re beyond giving a fuck about your poor widdle fee-fees enough to hold in our contempt. Your misogyny is killing us. Killing. Us. Killing. US. Think about that, and then ask yourself why you think we should be calm and polite and seized with happiness like some dumb housewife from a 1950s movie.<br><br>So what we’re going to do is rage. We are going to rage so hard, and we are going to rage so loudly, that you will be forced to be uncomfortable for the first time in your life. We are going to point out your sexism loudly and we’re going to be condescending and sarcastic while doing it. We’re going to get off on making you uncomfortable. We’re going to shame you. We’re going to make you burn. <br><br>And you know what? You have it coming. <br><br>We’re the gender that’s being murdered in honor killings, that are seen as “ collateral damage” in wars, that are beaten and raped and murdered by men who know us. We are the gender that’s been subjugated for centuries while you were free to live your lives and do as you pleased and have all the rights and all the social equality and all the compassion. <br><br>So now, it’s our turn. <br><br>Millions of women are openly contemptuous of men. Millions of women are openly raging against men. And there’s nothing you can do about it. <br><br>You should be afraid. You should be terrified. You should be scared to death. <br><br>Because for the first time in centuries- maybe even ever- you’re not the ones who are in control. <br><br>It’s our turn, and we’re going to hose you down with the contempt that you deserve, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.<br><br>Welcome to your new life. Learn to love it.
