New subscription nerf, cost goes up.

According to the official announcement, ChatGPT will cost more on the new subscription plan while also losing out on 20,000 word session context, I am not sure if the longer context window was the reason why it would cost more but does that mean that we are also paying more for a more cost effective product? Why aren’t they just keeping the original subscription plan? I guess this is the result of OpenAI not being a publicly traded company so that we can’t hold them accountable for their actions, such is the world of tech.
