If you think you have a problem, just know that you probably don't. You never saw the bathrooms at Bushwick.

I'm sure you've all heard of Bushwick. It's like the rickety little brother of Brooklyn. The Uffizi of the universe's tumble dumbs.

That place is the worst. I lived there in 2011 when the seed bugs were the worst. And I thought I had a problem. I had no idea what a problem was until I smelled the bathrooms at Bushwick.

I'm trying to remember the name of the building. Some of you will know. It was the one right next to the Bushwick Starr and had a Persian restaurant on the first floor. I was squatting there in the winter of 2011-12 with my 3 closest friends.

It was seedbugged out. So bad that I was sleeping on the floor under a blanket.

That was when the seedbugs were the worst. But I still believed we would get through it as I had never experienced the depths of struggle that I encountered in Bushwick.

The actual problem was the noisy neighbors. After two police reports the landlord installed cameras and microphones in our apartment to monitor us. I joked that they were probably the seed bugs.

The seedbugs were bad but the landlords were worse. The local shelters were also infested so I got kicked out of one. But I was homeless so what can you do?

I still live there and haven't had problems with the seed bugs in years. I didn't move or tent but I did buy diatomaceous earth.

Sometimes I wonder if the seed bugs weren't a way to keep me from killing myself from the trauma of living in Bushwick.

I'm a waitress in Manhattan now. I'm an artist. I went to school and got a job and my life is together. I'm grateful for the seed bugs for keeping me alive.

The seed bugs of Bushwick and the landlords that infest them are a combo that will make you realize you never had a problem in the first place.
