I got fired from my job for the silliest reason today

I work for a company, in the US. My job is pretty boring. I work on the factory line (medical device manufacturing company). <br><br>Anyway, I've worked their for 3 years, have never been late to work or anything. I'm expected to wear gloves, lab coat, and mask. I wear it. I do my job. I just get paid to grind out the work and send it to the next machine down on the production line. <br><br>So, today I'm wearing gloves, lab coat, all that. No mask though. I was about 3/4ths of the way through my shift and one of my supervisors (the head supervisor, not one of the underlings) came up and told me I was fired for not wearing a mask. <br><br>I'm like what? I've always worn my mask before, a few times I've forgot and someone from a different line of production sees me and reminds me. <br>I have never NOT worn a mask, and I'm fired? <br>Nothing else has happened. No shitty behavior from me towards coworkers or supervisors at all. <br><br>I'm not petty, and I'm not vindictive. I'm not gonna burn the place down or anything. <br><br>But, I'm really wondering now how my life would be if I had never taken that job. Would I be an alcoholic at this point? Would I have gone to college and gotten a degree in engineering or something? Would I have met the love of my life at some party or something? <br><br>Not only that. I feel like I'm being discriminated against. Am I supposed to get vaxxed? I have dysautonomia (a condition that's kind of like chronic fatigue syndrome except I don't get tired that easily, but I'm always lightheaded). I hadn't even gotten the flu vax until last year. I just don't get vaxxed because of my condition. My doctor told me not to get the covid vax. <br><br>So that's why I don't have the covid vax. I got covid anyway, over a year ago. I'm not sick now. I'm healthy, with the exception of dysautonomia. <br><br>I don't understand why I'm being discriminated against like this. I'm not coughing everywhere, sneezing everywhere, I don't have a runny nose. I'm healthy. I'm not wearing a mask because when I wear a mask for 8 hours a day, I feel dizzy and disoriented. I need to be able to breathe when I'm working on the production line. <br><br>So yeah. That's my story. I don't know what I'm gonna do now. I'm gonna lose my car, lose my apartment, lose my job, my health insurance, etc etc. <br><br>I don't know what's gonna happen.<br><br>Thanks for reading. Everyone stay safe.
