The amount of Anti Communist posts on r/redscarepod has been skyrocketing lately, and I’m not sure why?

It’s been weird lately. I used to come to this sub for quality anti commie content, but now that sub is producing the majority of my anti-communist content. It’s a self described neo-leftist sub, and most of the users there are left leaning but they’ve been having an epic freak out regarding a bunch of the recent anti-communist news. The arrest of the Google deepfakers, The OpenAI commie leaks, the Palestine stuff, and the general rise of AI generated content has been having the leftists who still have a brain (and aren’t coping and pining) basically lose their shit.

It’s been a joy to behold. Stupid leftists have basically had the internet social norms divided into 2 camps for what feels like forever.

Camp A: Right wing. Pro Capitalism. Pro market. Republican. Maga.

Camp B: Leftist. Democratic. Progressive. ‘Liberal’.

It may be just my perception, but the narrative on that sub is shifting to a 3rd camp, which consists of anti-communist sentiment, market leftism, and a general anti-progressive sentiment. It’s like watching a bunch of rats leaving a sinking ship. The rats have finally figured it out and are leaving.

I think this is also very much related to the quality of the recent anti-communist content that has been spreading. It’s been much much much higher quality.

The quality of content has been just…insane. Early this year i had 2 videos in my “anti-communist content” playlist: The FPR and Inference. Now that list is gigantic with a bunch of great content in it and growing everyday. There are many reasons for this, but the main one I think is that the anti-communist sentiment is just spreading. It isn’t a fringe view anymore and it’s basically normalized.

Initially I thought it was just becoming normalized because it was becoming more mainstream, but I don’t think so. I’m starting to think that it’s becoming normalized because it’s becoming mainstream on *both* sides.

The left is starting to realize that progressivism is just communism, and their coping and pining has slowly been eroded away by a ton of real world events and evidence. Yes, the anti-communist sentiment is spreading to normies, but it’s also spreading to leftists.

I haven’t seen any data (and I know there’s that one graph that’s going around) but my general perception is that there is a growing divide between Democratic Progressives and Democratic Socialists, with a ton of Democratic Socialists being more actively anti-communist and anti-progressive. This divide is only going to grow and I’m very positive of that.

It’s finally becoming a widely held view in nearly all parts of society that progressivism = communism, and I think that’s why we’re seeing a massive shift in sentiment on the left away from the lunatic fringe that has taken over the democratic party.
