My partner and I had to make a difficult decision about our child and I want to discuss it with a community that I trust.

It is no secret that I am a witch and that my life has been filled with all sorts of magical goings-on throughout the years. I say this because I trust all of you and am willing to open up about things that I cannot share with people in my daily life.<br><br>I have two children, ages 1 and 2, and I am 5 months pregnant with my third (this was a surprise, I know it happens to people all the time but I've never had a surprise pregnancy before, guess that's what I get for becoming lax with birth control). <br><br>I went in for my 20 week ultrasound (I've had some issues with the pregnancy so I've been getting a lot of ultrasounds) and we found out that the baby has a rather serious condition. <br><br>The baby had no stomach or small intestine, a condition called intestinal atresia. The intestine is supposed to grow into a loop and then tuck itself into the stomach and then grow back out. This is a congenital condition and is not my fault in any way. <br><br>Unfortunately, this condition is fatal 80% of the time, because the intestine cannot grow out of the stomach into the digestive tract. The 20% of the time that the baby is able to survive, the child will have to go through a lot of suffering, many surgeries and very poor quality of life. <br><br>I decided, along with my partner, that it would be better to terminate the pregnancy. This decision did not come easily to me, but I was able to discuss this with some of my close witchy friends and that really helped. <br><br>I decided to use some magic for this as I wanted the procedure to go as smoothly as possible. I burned sage, performed a ritual, used my pendulum. I prayed to the goddess and asked that the procedure be as easy as possible, with as little pain as possible. I decided to go to a hospital to have the procedure instead of a clinic because I was concerned about the quality of the care I would get at a clinic (I have had multiple issues with the care I got at my clinic in the past) and I trust the doctors at my hospital more.<br><br>I was given a medication that would make me sleepy and I was able to go home after only a few hours (I was able to get a general anesthetic, but that's a story for another time, lemme tell you, all the US needs is universal healthcare). I was able to go into a meditative state while I was going through the procedure, I feel like I was able to remove the energy of the procedure from my body and mind.<br><br>I am so glad that I decided to use some magic for this, because it has helped me to heal faster, I feel like I was able to do some shadow work and get rid of some trauma that came with this.<br><br>I am only posting this because I feel comfortable doing so. I only trusted my closest witchy friends with this information and I trust all of you as well. I trust that I will not be judged, because I am a witch, and we are a community of love and trust.
