I just found out my husband's whole family knew what a piece of shit he is and said nothing.

I found out today that my husband's entire side of the family was aware of the types of abuse he grew up with and is putting me through, and no one said a word. One reason for not speaking up was a fear of retaliation. Another reason was because they just think it's the way relationships should go. Am I just a fool for thinking that just because someone is married to you they shouldn't insult you, degrade you, and make you think you are worthless because you don't have the right job? It makes me feel profoundly alone in this world that people I considered friends see me being abused and mistreated and don't say a word.
