Why do anti-anime people always bring up Excel Saga?

Alright I can understand not liking a particular type of show, but this show is a rare gem that’s made for fans who are fed up with common tropes and cliches. It’s a damn parody that’s actually well made! The only other show that I can think of that did something like this was One Punch Man.
