You've been sentenced to 10 years; the average time it takes for the human brain to decay after death. You're going to be left in a forest, dead and buried. How would you prepare for this?

Edit: WOW. I DIDNT EXPECT THIS POST TO BLOW UP THIS FAST. FOR THOSE OF YOU WANTING TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS AFTER, PLEASE CHECK THE STORIES SUBMISSION. WILL UPDATE IT SOON.

TL;DR. A dead person's brain decays in 10 years. Imagine you've been sentenced to be left in a forest with your dead body; with full consciousness and no feeling, no pain. This is how you prepare for it.

I pick the simplest method; injection of a preservative.

When people die, their body is usually preserved using Formaldehyde. It's toxic, so if you were to be embalmed alive, you would die. In my case, I won't feel a thing.

I walk into the hospital, asking to speak with an embalmer; or someone who will just do that to me. They get the gist of what I want and agree to it.

The process is long and difficult, but eventually, it's done. My brain won't decay for years to come.

I'm then walked to the forest, where I'm buried, no coffin to speak of. It's not really needed here.

The above ground world is all I can see and hear. I'm stuck in this forest, fully conscious. Someone walks down the path that leads to me, and I try shouting out. Of course, my voice doesn't travel. I'm stuck. This is going to be the longest 10 years of my life.
