My wife was crying over nothing. I pampered her. She hugged me and said I’m an amazing husband. I checked her period app and realized she’s just PMSing.

Edit: I am indeed the ass. I did this for the story, not to help my wife. And i was rewarded with the title amazing husband. I am ashamed of this and I was right to be ashamed. She needed help and attention and i was happy to help until i realized it was “just for her period.” I got help this weekend and am working hard to make it right. I understand what I did wrong and how I need to change. What was always acceptable, is no longer and I cannot go back to being the person I was. I will do my best to prevent this from happening in the future. My wife is the best thing that ever happened to me and I failed her when she needed me most. I will carry this shame forever and use it to fuel me to do better. I will suggest that anyone who thinks similar is also an ass and needs to get help. <br><br><br>My wife had made herself a frozen pizza and was sitting on the couch crying. She had managed to burn the pizza so bad, the house was filled with thick black smoke. The fire alarm hadn’t gone off yet, but it soon would. I walked into the house through the front door and walked to the fridge to grab a snack. I don’t know what made me stop and look around the corner to her on the couch crying. I walked over and hugged her and she cried more. I asked her what was wrong. She showed me the pizza. I told her not to worry about it and that I can order her some real food if she wants. She asked me if I was mad with her. I assured her i wasn’t and that it could happen to anyone. I asked her again if she was okay. She said she was a failure because she can’t even make herself a frozen pizza. I asked her if I could get her a shower and new clothes, then order dinner and a bottle of wine. She said please. I asked if she was okay to take a shower on her own or if she needed help. Right at that moment the fire alarm went off. I quickly removed the batteries and took her to the shower. I told her to shower and that I’d bring her fresh clothes. I got her clothes in her size, her favorite snacks, a bottle of wine, some soft music and lit some candles. This is where I checked her period app. I was a bit annoyed that she was playing the victim but I decided to still go all out. I helped her get dressed, did her hair, her nails, her makeup. Then we sat down for dinner, I had made roast chicken with some potatoes and veggies. Her favorite. When we finished, we cuddled up on the couch for a movie. At the end she hugged me super tight and told me I’m an amazing husband and thanked me a million times. I felt like I was rewarded for acting like a decent husband, for doing the bare minimum.
