What if the OwO meme was the last meme?

The way things are going it very well could be. All I see on the internet these days is this place and the shit that r/nosleep has been pumping out. What the hell is wrong with people? How do they have the gall to interrupt every last social media interaction by asking if I've seen the news lately?

If I don't want to look at the news, then I don't have to. Same as if I don't want to post on Chambers and talk about the news, then I don't have to. There is literally nothing that they can do to me if I don't want to have a conversation. I'm not beholden to anyone.

So why won't they fuck off when I tell them to?

Do you remember back when police brutality was the issue of the day? (Wait a minute, wasn't that actually a little over a month ago? What the hell happened to that news?) There was a story of a guy on Chambers who, in the heat of the moment, told a cop to go fuck himself. The cop then arrested him for disorderly conduct. The guy hired a lawyer and took it to court and won. His exact words were something like, "Sir, I appreciate your time, but I don't think that that falls under disorderly conduct."

The judge nodded and ruled in favor of the guy.

My point in bringing that up is that you don't have to engage with people that you don't want to engage with. If you don't want your rights trampled on by "well meaning" people, then stand your ground. Even if they literally have you in a headlock and are suffocating you to death, you still have the option to say, "Sir, I appreciate your time, but I don't think that that falls under disorderly conduct. However, I am currently being strangled to death, so the last thing that I am going to do is fight back."

If they say, "No, you must return to your house because there is a virus out."

Then say, "Sir, I appreciate your time, but I don't think that that falls under disorderly conduct."

Edit: The people in the comments are missing the point. Not once did I say anything political. I did not call anyone a "libtard", "trumpoid", "snowflake", "racist", "bigot", "fascist", etc. I just said, "What if the OwO meme was the last meme?"

That's it.

If I had said, "What if the Trole Meme was the last meme?" The same conversations would be happening. It doesn't matter that this place is known to be conservative, I don't care about your politics. I don't give a shit if you're left, right, center, or if you want to overthrow the federal government and declare yourself king of your trailer park. That is not what this was about.

This was about the fact that the internet used to be a place where people could go to talk about whatever they want. Apolitical spaces have basically become illegal. Every interaction on the internet is now strictly政治. How boring is that?

Edit2: I posted this in r/confession and it did way better. Thanks for nothing, assholes.
