I'm a police officer and I think you people are crazy.

I've been a police officer for seven years. I've been on a SWAT team for six. I deal with guns all day, almost every day. I carry one on my hip everywhere I go. I've pointed my gun at dozens of people that didn't deserve to be shot. I've shot two people to save their lives. I'm not here to talk about police brutality, because it's not a thing. I'm not here to talk about the second amendment, as that's not what this is really about either. I'm just here to do what police do best: talk about how dangerous what we do is.<br><br>Make no mistake, you people are fucking crazy. You fear the wrong things. You are not afraid of the right things. You are not prepared for the threats you actually face because you are too busy preparing for the threats you don't.<br><br>I've pointed my gun at people who were armed to the teeth and had zero intention of ever using those arms. I've seen people strapped to the teeth who were deadly innocent. I've pointed my gun at people who were deadly intent on committing mass murder who didn't have a single firearm on them. I've seen people who were deadly intent on murder who were armed to the teeth. I've had a man point a shotgun in my face and blow his own brains out. I've seen a guy armed to the teeth slap a shotgun and tell me "here, you do it". I've seen a woman armed to the teeth beg God to let her live. I've seen a man who was armed to the teeth talk like he was from the 1800s. I've seen people who were armed to the teeth who believed they were demons. I've seen a guy who was armed to the teeth who thought he was Jesus. I've seen a guy who was armed to the teeth who thought he was Satan. I've seen a guy who wasn't armed at all but pointed a water pistol at me. I've had a man lie to me about having a knife when he didn't. A man who had a knife told me the truth. I've seen people who had machetes and didn't tell me. I've searched people who had nothing and I've searched people who were hiding literal torture knives. I've heard men who wanted to be women talk about how they wanted to cut off their dicks. I've heard women who wanted to be men talk about how they wanted to cut off their tits. I've heard men who believed they were women talk about how they wanted to be castrated. I've heard women who believed they were men talk about how they wanted to be castrated. I seen a lot of castration. I've heard a man admit he was a pedophile and beg me to lock him up. I've heard a woman talk about how she wanted to burn her children alive. I've seen a man burn his child to death. I've seen a man who burned himself to death. I saw a man who burned his neighbors to death. I heard a man talk about how he wanted to burn his wife alive. I heard a wife talk about how she wanted to burn her husband alive. I heard a husband talk about how he wanted to burn his wife at the stake. Instagram history. I've had people come to me and talk about how someone's mind broke after losing their job. Mind broke after losing a loved one. I've had people come to me and talk about how someone's mind broke after losing a dog. Someone's mind broke after losing a house. Someone's mind broke after their partner cheated on them. Someone's mind broke after they lost a game.<br><br>You people are fucking crazy. I'm not here to talk about the nous. I'm not here to talk about mental health. I'm not here to talk about medication. I'm not here to talk about vaccinations. I'm not here to tell you people that you need to chill out. Or maybe I am. Maybe I need to tell you people to take a deep breath. Maybe I need to tell you people to calm your fears. Maybe I need to tell you people to love your neighbor. Maybe I need to tell you people to stop pointing your fucking guns at each other and to point your fucking guns at the fucking demons that are trying to kill us all.<br><br>I don't know. I don't know what's worse, you people who think that armed to the teeth is the proper response to everyone, or you people who think that armed to the teeth is never a good response to anything. I don't know what's worse, you people who think your neighbors are out to get you or you people who think your neighbors will always be your friends. I don't know what's worse, you people who think the government is trying to murder you or you people who think the government will always save you. I don't know what's worse, you people who think the nous are trying to murder you or you people who think pharmaceuticals are the answer to all of your problems.<br><br>I don't know.
