So, in my neighborhood, there’s this one jogger who’s out like clockwork at 8 am.

He’s been doing it for a few years at least, so I sat and watched him one day. After an hour, he didn’t return from his jog, and I didn’t see him come back. Then, I started to notice he always has a little backpack on him, with a water bottle in its pocket.

Some nights I get up to get a drink of water, and each time I see him, and he’s walking around the neighborhood. It’s clearly not a night jog, as he doesn’t wear his backpack or water bottle on these excursions.

One night I woke up and it was raining, and he was walking around. I had never seen someone walk in the rain in my neighborhood, let alone at 3 am.

He’s a little creepy because he is always saying hi to women and even little girls. My husband doesn’t see it as a big deal, but I do. There’s something to be said for someone who gets up and walks around multiple times a day…. It’s so weird.

I think I’m just going to ask him about it one day, but I’ll ask him in a way that lets him know I’ve been watching him.

Edit 2: I’m sorry I didn’t respond to this post much. I went on vacation and wasn’t around. I wanted to state that I’ve lived in this neighborhood since I was a kid. It’s only recently that things have been changing. I think that’s why I was so shocked. I completely agree with everyone that people walk places for their own reasons and that’s valid. Being a creepy weirdo is not valid lol

Edit: I feel like I have to clarify something since there have been so many comments. My neighborhood is suburban and very quiet. It’s not normal for people to be walking around, especially at 3 am. There’s just been things happening like car break ins and people being followed. I’m not paranoid, it’s just a feeling that I have. I don’t follow him, but I keep an ear out while I’m awake because I think he’s creepy and might be casing the neighborhood.
