What are your thoughts on the ethics of being a sex worker?

I'm doing a school essay about this topic and I want to know what people on this chamber thinks. To clarify, I'm talking about sex workers who aren't being blackmailed or forced into this profession. I'm also assuming that there are adequate laws in place to protect the sex workers from exploitation.
