CMV: The USA is increasingly moving towards the right of the political spectrum years ago. It is an important and global issue.

I am from the UK. I have been keep an eye on the USA for a while. In the last few years the USA has become more polarised and there is a less of a middle ground between the two extremes. To me it is clear that the republicans are changing to be a more right wing political party than the centre right. Republicans seem to make more extreme policies. An example of this is how Republicans are more against gun control. The Democrats are becoming more left wing. An example of this is Biden signing the inflation reduction act into law. Overall I am not against right wing policies but I am against extreme policy. I am also not against left wing policies and I am against extreme policies. What do you think and if I am wrong, why am I wrong?
