This is not a post about the quality of the food at Waffle House, but about something I have noticed as a frequent traveler.

I travel for work a lot and I am from the North East coast of the United States and one thing that I have noticed is that Waffle House is literally the only chain eatery that is open.<br><br>Literally, it seems like they are the only restaurant that is open. McDonalds and Starbucks are closed when I normally get up around 4:30, as are IHOP and Denny's and any other type of restaurant. The only place that is open is Waffle House. The employees there are the ones that are braving whatever weather is going on, they are the ones that are serving and providing necessary nourishment for people that are out there.<br><br>I am not saying that there aren't other restaurants that are open, but I have not found another chain in all my travels that has the ability to open in the middle of a blizzard in the dead middle of the night. <br><br>Waffle House, I am going to look at you differently from now on, you are truly unsung heroes when it comes to travel.
