People at work care more about my choice of soda than my choice of drugs.

Let me explain. I'm a software engineer by profession at a normal office setting with a bunch of old people. One day while at work, I went to get myself a soda (Mountain Dew) and a coworker was like "What's up with that choice? Why not get Coke or Pepsi?". I'm thinking like "Ok you're right, it isn't good for you at all".
After work at the same day I'm just chilling at home and I'm like "Well, why not get some Coke then?". The difference is that now I'm referring to actual cocaine. Funny thing is nobody cares that I'm doing drugs, just that it could have potential legal consequences.
