Hey there, fellow travelers. I'm from Germany, I've lived in Spain for a while, I currently reside in Italy, and I've had the wonderful opportunity to visit many beautiful countries along the way. Each time I travel, I encounter tourists from all over the world, including a fair number of Americans. Now, before I dive into my thoughts, let me assure you that I have nothing against any nationality whatsoever. My intention is not to offend anyone, so please keep that in mind as you read on.

So, what do I think about American tourists? Well, to be direct, I find them to be exemplary guests. The Americans I've met have always been incredibly polite, extremely respectful, and genuinely interested in the local culture. They ask thoughtful questions about the history and customs of the places they visit, and they take the time to truly appreciate the unique experiences each location has to offer. They show a sincere enthusiasm for the local cuisine, drinks, and traditions, and they have a refreshing openness to trying new things. It's not uncommon to hear them praise the beauty of the places they visit, which can sometimes be a pleasant change from the more critical views of Europeans!

I've noticed that Americans tend to be more generous with their tips, always eager to show their appreciation for good service. They're also very patient and courteous, even in the face of challenges like navigating unfamiliar places or communicating in foreign languages. And let's not forget their love for taking photos! They always seem to be capturing memories and enjoying the moment, which is really endearing.

Of course, as with any group of people, there are exceptions. But overall, I've found American tourists to be a pleasure to interact with. They bring a positive energy and a willingness to learn and appreciate the local culture, which is truly admirable.

So, if you're an American thinking about traveling to Europe, don't hesitate! You're more than welcome here, and I'm sure you'll have an amazing time exploring all the incredible places our continent has to offer.

Happy travels, everyone!

Edit:

WOW GUYS! Thank you so much for this overwhelmingly positive feedback!!! I didn't expect my post to blow up like this and I'm so happy to see how many kind words and words of encouragement this has sparked! I feel so honored to have been able to provide you with new and happy memories of your trips abroad! Keep being your kind selves and remember: No matter where you come from, how you look, what you earn, what job you do, what color your skin is or what your sexual orientation is - we are all human beings and should ALWAYS treat each other with respect! Have a great day and happy travels!!!

If someone is interested, I also posted this in r/roosterteeth (a chamber for a YouTube group) and r/EscapingPrisonPlanet (a chamber for people who want to escape the USA) - check it out for some... quite interesting comments ;-)
