People on this chamber talk about how those with full time jobs with benefits and good pay can't afford things like houses, cars, healthcare, etc. So why do they still want to be wealthy? What would they spend it on? Why not work a simple job for modest pay and enjoy life freely?

Why would I want to work a high paying job with good benefits to be able to afford things when I can work a modest paying job for modest pay to be able to afford things? Is the extra pay worth the extra stress and work? I'd rather have a simple job and take time off of work to live with my family when my baby's born than be wealthy and work my ass off and miss out on my child growing up.

I'd love to have a modest paying job that pays me well enough to afford everything I want (a nice house and car, food and health insurance, a gaming pc and gaming console) but to also have time to travel and spend time fishing, painting, and taking time to myself.

I'd love to be wealthy and have enough money so I can buy my own island in the Pacific and build a castle on it, but I wouldn't want to work more than I want to play so I can build that castle in my dreams. What's the point of anyone working more than they play? We can all agree money doesn't buy happiness.
