In May, I'm going to China to visit Beijing and Xi'an, and I'm extremely excited. However, I'd have no idea what to expect were it not for this sub. I've never been anywhere where English isn't widely spoken, and I'm looking forward to the challenge of navigating a country with so many cultural differences.

I've seen tips on everything from packing tissues and hand sanitizer to understanding the social etiquette surrounding eating and drinking. I've researched the history and cultural significance of the major tourist destinations I'll be visiting, including the Forbidden City and the Terracotta Warriors.

I'm excited for this adventure and ready to immerse myself in the rich history and culture of China. Thanks to all who have shared their experiences and tips!

Edit: I did do some reading about China before I posted this. I'm not some clueless American who is going to start yelling about freedom whenever someone tells me to do something. I've done my research, and I'm just saying that this sub has been a big influence on my planning. Also, thanks for the awards! They're my first, and I feel special now.
