I just finished Attack on Titan.

I wasn't expecting it to be so good. It's not only the best dark fantasy anime of all time, it's one of the best anime of all time, period. The series is a masterclass in storytelling, pacing, visuals, and themes. I was thoroughly entertained throughout and loved the characters. The world was incredibly immersive. It was also epic and thrilling. The themes and the way they were executed were done so well, it sets a new standard. The series gets so many things right from the beginning. Especially a great cast of characters. I just wish the ending was better. But, it's still one of the best anime ever made.
