Almost every "anti-immigration" people I've met from the UK don't know how full their country actually is

As someone from the US who's lived in the UK, I've noticed a massive surge in anti-immigration sentiment among some of the people there, which I find absolutely disappointing.

I've had plenty of conversations with these people, and the majority of them don't know how full their country already is. They don't realize that the UK is one of the most populated major countries in the world (about 25% denser than **Germany**, for example), with southern England being on the same population density as India.

I don't have any problem with controlled, legal immigration, but I have a huge problem with the hypocrisy of these people. The UK is full to the brim, with not nearly enough housing (which is why new, modern estates are necessary), not nearly enough water (which is why water recycling is becoming more and more common), and not enough space to itself. This doesn't even begin to describe the amount of overdevelopment that's occurring.

And yet, when an asylum seeker center gets opened in a nearby village or town, there's a massive uproar, with people longing for the days when it was entirely English.

The UK is full. It doesn't need any more people, let alone more houses.
