The biggest red pill for me was when I realized that those at the top of the power structure don't care about political parties at all.

If you think about it, the biggest reason why nothing changes is because everything, especially in the US is controlled by either Republicans or Democrats. Your average person is going to be either one or the other, and would rather be happy that their side is in charge than care about whether or not the government is doing good for the people.

The biggest example of this was after Trump took office after Obama. My biggest fear is that Trump would do the standard republican thing and go to war with the middle east. He did, but the left didn't care because it was Trump starting the war. The right didn't care because it was their president doing it. They went after the exact same countries Obama went after, and were possibly planning to anyway before he left office. Trump is out of office, and now Biden is back in. But they're still in the middle east. Why isn't the left outraged? Because their president is doing it. No, their president is not doing it. Trump was a puppet too, and Obama and Biden have always been puppets. It's the people at the top who are pulling the strings on everyone who are actually in charge. They don't care whether their political agenda is being carried out by a Democrat or Republican, because they want the US to go to war in the middle east because it benefits them and not you. They want poverty and homelessness to thrive because you're more likely to obey them when you're desperate, and they would rather you be desperate than be free.
And the braindead right and left would rather die than admit that both of their politicians are controlled by the same people.
