I'm Still Bullish on AI and Feel Good About How It Will Change Our World

I've read a lot of negative posts lately about how bad the data sets are for AI, and some folks even think it's all hype. They may be right about the datasets and they may be right about what current capabilities and the long-term potential, but I'm a software engineer and I've never been more excited about the future possibilities of computer tech. I think there are a ton of problems to be solved, but I think that's why the long-term prospects look so bright to me.

A lot of the examples and criticisms that I hear about AI are centered around things that are relatively easy to do, and that's the nature of tech (you know, build the easy version first then start to work on the hard version). For example, data sets can be improved dramatically the more that AI is used. As more users interact with AI, the data sets will improve and that should help to weed out biases and bad information. I don't think that's an easy problem to solve, but I think that what we already have with relatively bad data sets, even with the problems that already exist and what we already have, I think that the possibilities are endless.

The other thing that I think will be huge, is that the more that people interact with AI, the more that they'll be able to tell it what the specific problems that should be considered when they make decisions. Now, we have a lot of the decision-making happening in a pretty black box. But, I think that it will become more transparent (and they may not even call it AI or ML at that point, they'll just be using the tools that are available in data sets). I think the more that people use AI the more that they'll be able to specify what the problems and what the boundaries are. So, I think that this could be a really powerful tool to identify the problems that we're looking at.

I think that these problems are solvable and I think data sets are going to continue to improve, so I think that all of this is going to be solvable. I think that we're going to look back on today and think about how bad the data sets were and how poorly users were able to communicate to the AI and I think we'll be able to point to how much less capable the systems were then today. But, the systems that we have today are still really powerful, and they're capable of doing things that even 5-10 years ago I would have thought was a long way off.

A lot of the criticism that I see of AI seems to focus on how the AI is not as good as humans, but I don't think a lot of people are calling this a replacement for humans. I think most of us see this as an interesting and powerful tool that we can use. I don't think that it's necessarily going to replace human capabilities. I think it's a tool that we can use to become even more capable than we already are.

I think that AI is going to help humans make better decisions, and I think it's going to help us make decisions more quickly. I think it's going to help us to more data to make those decisions and I think it's going to help us communicate. I think it's going to help us to communicate with each other and I think it's going to help us find the information that we need. I think it's going to help us to find information that we need to make better decisions. I think that AI is going to make us better informed and I think that it's going to make us better at solving problems. I'm sure that most of this is anecdotal, but I've been using AI more and more and I'm more and more optimistic about what it can do.

I know that some people are upset with how much that AI has moved our world in the last few years, and I understand that change can be difficult. But, I think that this is going to open up more possibilities than it's going to close. I think that this is going to help us find more opportunities than they're going to find limitations. I don't think that this is going to replace humans, and I think that even though this is a pretty big change, I think there's a lot of opportunities that are coming out of it for all of us.
