This wasn't my request. He wanted to lose weight. He says he doesn't want to diet. He wants ME to cook his food using more veggies and be more careful with the fat, etc, but to still make it "taste good" and be "full of meat" (like he's been eating.)

He says he's not giving up meat, bread, pasta, sugar, salt, potatoes, etc. Just mix veggies into the meat and sauces, use more herbs, use coconut oil instead of butter, etc, etc. He also wants me to make more stir-fries.

Otherwise, he'll stick to his 15 min/day brisk walking (he doesn't want to spend more than 10/15m on exercise.)

Which for my 33 year-old, 5ft9, 210 lb boyfriend equates to about 3,654 calories/day just to lose 2 lbs/week.

He's pretty clueless about nutrition and exercise, as most men are. I was fat 5 yrs ago and I lost 50 lbs, so he says "you know about this stuff, so I don't have to worry about it."

So anyway, I did the calculations and the only way he's gonna be getting 3,654 calories while eating FULL-ON MEAT DISHES is if I pretty much hide the veggies or buy expensive sauces with hidden veggies in them. Or if I completely fill his plate with steamed veggies and add just a tiny piece of meat to it. Which he'll never go for.

So anyway, makes me laugh that he thinks he can lose weight eating full-on meat and potato dishes (just with herbs instead of gravy) and walking around the block 10/15 min/day.
