My dad took my friend and I to a weird cottage that none of us remember. I think we were possibly abducted.

I am writing this on behalf of my friend, I have done this because I've thought of a few things that I could include that I don't think they would have thought about to add to the story.<br><br>Yesterday, my friend messaged me on Facebook. I forgot to screenshot it before deleting but here's a quick recap of what he said:<br><br>Ballad in Blue (1964 film) is stuck in my head. I was about 9 years old when I first saw it on VHS. It was on sale in the video store with a few other films, My mother picked it up as it was like 50p.<br><br>Why do I mention this? Where did he decide to take us? I have no idea. My father was in the Royal Navy and was stationed in Northern Ireland, so he took us on a train and we had to catch a ferry. He had to go to a hut, and another guy on the ferry took us to a place like a cottage. There was a small river, a forest behind the cottage and a field of tall grass just in front of the cottage. He took us for a swim in the river and swung us around in the tall grass. We had the best time ever and well this is all in Northern Ireland. My mother never saw any photos of us, he never took any. I don't think any other family members knew of this event. You've probably guessed by now, my father did not take us on a day out.<br><br>Nearly 20 years later, my friend says to me out of the blue 'do you ever remember going to Ireland and I said yes and I was wondering if he remembered. My friend did, he said how he thought he was dreaming as it made no sense for us to be in Ireland, and I had never mentioned it before so he thought he was making it up. well we did visit the same place, we both remember the river, forest, the tall grass and a cottage.<br><br>This has left me very confused and shaken. I have been having a lot of weird dreams and my mind keeps racing with questions and answers and my mind just keeps telling me I was abducted. I don't know what I am looking for here but I thought I'd share.<br><br>Edit: One thing I thought of was the ferry, did the ferry have a Captain and crew?
