Hay everyone, I am a flight attendant. I was on a flight that recently crashed though. Not a lot of details have been released yet, but here is my experience.

It was a morning flight. More than 90% of the people on the airplane were men. There were one or two kids.

I am a flight attendant in the rear of the plane. So I was where the impact actually happened.

We had already done our safety demos. Passengers were still getting settled. The flight attendants were still in the aisle. When I heard a jolt. At first I thought it was severe turbulence. It was so hard that I fell onto a row of seats. I bruised my thighs falling onto the seat. And I smacked my face on the seat, which caused a big gash. I have 5 stitches on my lip from it.

I didn't hear any weird noises. It was like super strong turbulence. I have rode through a lot of turbulence without any issues.

I saw one of the flight attendants in the galley go flying and she hit her head in the oven. It was like a Jackie Chan movie. Then the plane started shaking violently and the plane wobbled a lot. I thought we were going to crash. I knew the flight attendants were all hurt. I knew we couldn't evacuate. So I put my head down and waited for it to be over with.

Then we stopped. And it was over.

One of the flight attendants from first class came to the rear of the plane. She said the pilots told her we are going to evacuate. Luckily, one of the flight attendants had only minor injuries. So she was able to let the pilots know we are going to evacuate.

Then I saw water. It was coming from the galley. So I ran to the galley and shut the water off.

The plane was filling with smoke. So the first thing we had to do was open the doors. We tried to open the rear doors but they were stuck. So we had to open the over-wing doors. The doors wouldn't open because of the pressure. So I had to bleed the doors to release the pressure.

I then opened the doors and we started to evacuate. The plane was filling with smoke so quickly. I couldn't see anything. I had to feel around to find the slide.

I felt the slide though and let it go. It shot right out. Thank God. I have never opened that door before. So I was like shit. I hope this deploys.

I yelled at everyone to get out the door. The passengers were like oh this plane is filling with smoke. We have to get out.

I was the last to get out. Right before I left I looked around and saw the smoke was so bad I couldn't see anything at all. It was like in the movies, where you can't see anything.

I felt my way around. I felt the slide, and then boom I got out. From the time we stopped to the time I got out was maybe 2 minutes.

When I got out the plane one of the passengers said we have to move away from the plane. I said "right" and started running. I don't know why I didn't do this earlier. I just wasn't thinking straight.

I had to hop a fence to get to the terminal. The first thing I thought about was the other flight attendants. So I started asking the passengers if they were okay. Most of them were okay.

The one flight attendant that wasn't hurt came out after me. I was so happy to see her. We hugged and cried. We were both crying so hard. We were just so happy to be okay.

I then waited by the door where we evacuated. I knew the other flight attendants were still on the plane. I was waiting for them to come out.

The first one to come out was on a stretcher being rolled by by two airport employees. She had blood all over her face. It was so sad. I don't know what happened to her though.

Then the other flight attendant came out. She was walking on her own. But she had blood all over her head and face too.

I was so happy to see them. I was crying again. I'm crying just thinking about it. I just wanted my flight attendant sisters to be okay.

Then an airport employee asked me if I was okay and said we should go to the hospital. So we went to the hospital.

We have to stay in the city for a week. We will have to testify in the investigation.

The passengers were very nice. I saw a couple passengers helping the injured to get to the terminal.

The airport employees were wonderful too. I rode in the ambulance with one of the injured flight attendants. The airport employee that rode with us was so nice. He was talking to us the whole time to distract us. I am very thankful for him.

And of course, my flight attendant sisters. The ones that helped save the day.

I am just grateful that everyone survived. There could have been fatalities. We could have burned alive in the airplane.

So I am just grateful.
