I don't like the fact that one of my favorite anime has vocal anti-LGBT hate and racism as part of its fandom

I'm not gonna say what anime it is but it's a really popular one.<br><br>I'm a cis straight white man, so of course I don't worry about stuff like this, but I feel ashamed of being in the same fandom now.<br><br>I'm not saying the whole fandom is like this but just the fact that a considerable portion of it is. I wish I could change it but I know I can't since I'm a pretty minor voice in there.<br><br>I can't change my mind about the show because of it. I just wish I could forget that this exists.<br><br>This is something that literally everyone with a popular fandom will have to go through at one point.<br><br>Still I wish I could forget that this fandom exists.
