I was in a pawn shop with various firearms and some oddities, and a guy walks in with a crate gun. The seller was Turkish, and I overheard him trying to tell the seller something about his pistol, but he couldn’t understand. I was close enough to hear them and settled in for the show.

The Turkish guy is like

“where are you from?”

The seller is like

“Jackson”

The Turkish guy is like

“Jackson?”

The seller is like

“In Tennesee”

The Turkish guy is like

“Tennessee?”

The seller is like

“In America”

The Turkish guy is like

“oh, you from Turkey too?”

The seller is like

“no, I’m from Jackson, Tennessee, not Turkey”

The Turkish guy is like

“Jackson, Tennessee? We have Jackson Tennessee in Turkey?

I had to but in and mention that Jackson is a fairly common name, and that may be the reason he is confused. So the seller can now ask questions about his pistol, and it’s a 1970s dated CZ-82, and I never knew they had that many made, but y’all live and learn.
