I'd like to have a respectful conversation with a feminist about feminism as a whole. Any advice on how to have this discussion?

I want to know the views on feminism and what it means to a "modern feminist" and hear their side on everything that's going on and see how they feel about the misandry against men. I'm aware feminism is a broad term encompassing a lot of different beliefs and spectrums, but I would love to hear another perspective on it all. How would I go about it? I've had a few female friends who have gone "I'm not a feminist, but I do believe in feminism" when I've asked them about feminism in the past.
