The “Hot” button on the front page that shows the most popular posts should instead be the “New” button.

The people who I watch on YouTube have been complaining about the algorithm on Chambers because they’re not seeing the posts from the accounts they subscribe to anymore. This has been frustrating because they see almost 0 posts from the accounts they want to see. Instead, the algorithm focuses on popular content that you’ve never seen. I think we can all agree that the algorithm is broken and we don’t see the posts we’ve subscribed to anymore.<br><br>I feel like the “Hot” button should just be replaced with the “New” button. I don’t think the “Hot” button is very useful, and it’s annoying to have to go into the drop-down menu to select “New” (or “Best”, depending on the chamber). I’ve never really seen the point of the “Hot” button, and I don’t know why it’s been so important. I genuinely don’t think it’s that useful at all. I just see random bullshit that gets posted, like some dumb image macro with 35k upvotes and a couple of sex posts that don’t even make any sense.<br><br>So, the “Hot” button should just be renamed to “New”. You can already select “New” from the drop-down menu, but that’s just annoying having to press the dropdown menu and select “New” instead of just clicking a button that’s right next to it. I also don’t think the “Hot” button is very useful now that nobody sees the posts that they subscribe to.
