Reason for asking, under the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the British monarchy was incredibly popular. It is a British institution that has stood the test of time, while institution of this sort has fallen nearly everywhere else in Europe. Furthermore, it has certainly survived a civil war, as the royal family survived the English Civil War. Elizabeth II has served as an invaluable patron to the arts and science, and was widely admired as a mother and a grandmother. The marriage of Prince William to Kate Middleton was a fairy tale romance, and she has served as an incredibly devoted mother to her three children. Prince Harry's relationship with Meghan Markle was also incredibly romantic, and they were certainly an attractive couple with two children.

Yet, after the death of Elizabeth II, all of this has certainly changed. From what I do know, Prince Harry has become an enemy of the state, and there are now calls to strip him of his royal privileges. Charles III is incredibly unpopular, and shows that he clearly has no idea how to be a king. He was nearly booed off the stage at the King's coronation. The Prince and Princess of Wales are beneficent members of society, but beneficent members of society are not exactly hard to find if you are looking for them. Furthermore, Prince William was certainly not the best father to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

What happened here?
