Why do entrepreneurs hate minimum wage laws?

I guess my question really is, what does a minimum wage freeze accomplish? Is the minimum wage not just the minimum that you can pay workers, is it also a legal maximum?<br><br>It seems strange that companies that are exponentially more profitable than they were at the start of the pandemic would oppose a minimum wage increase.<br><br>As the cost of living increases, the ability to survive on a given wage decreases. Increased minimum wage accounts for inflation, why would companies be against this?<br><br>One of the main arguments against minimum wage laws is that it increases inflation, but it only accounts for inflation, it doesnt cause it.
