If you sold your wifes wedding dress, car, jewelry, or other items under false pretenses, people would call you an asshole. So why do people do this to buy guns?

If you tell your wife you're going to the book store and you go to the gun store instead, you're an asshole. If you tell her you're going to the gun store and buying a complete AR and come back with a stripped lower, you're a fucking asshole. If you tell her you're going to the sporting goods store and buying some camping stuff and come back with an m4 and a Remington 700 you're a fucking asshole. You're not "getting over on her" you're doing something you know that she won't agree with and you're disrespecting her and the trust that a marriage should be based on.

On the flip side you aren't "winning" because you got a gun your wife didn't want you to get. You're losing because you had to deceive someone you love to get it.

I'm not talking about someone who's wife doesn't want them to own a gun, but has no problem with them buying one. I'm talking about someone who knows their wife doesn't want them to buy a gun, and instead of just talking with her and figuring out why she feels that way they go out and do what they want to do anyway.
